Who do we serve?

The FEC serves children with special needs ages 3-22. While Early Start and the Special Needs Project have
age limitations, the FEC is able to provide similar supports and services to families. We serve all disability and
medical areas - if a parent feels they have a child with special needs their concern is real and we are here to
help.
Parent to Parent Support. Parents who will listen with their hearts... who have "been there" and can answer
your questions.
Family Resource Library. Books, videos, magazines, audio tapes and articles that will help families to better
understand their child's special needs and enhance school readiness. Please visit our library today!
Family Empowerment Project
Parent Support Group. FamilySOUP seeks to empower families to search for answers and become effective managers of
their child's programs and services.
Collaboration. FamilySOUP works with professionals in special needs areas such as Head Start. Alta California
Regional
Center, education and can assist with eligibility and services coordination.
Up-to-Date Information. Volunteers will assist with Internet searches here at the Resource Center.
Training. FamilySOUP offers Special Needs Parenting classes, volunteer training, and sibling workshops.
Outreach. FamilySOUP strives to educate the community on the contributions and needs of our special children and
their
families.
